Style Icon: Blondie

Debbie Harry was an influential figure in American popular music and fashion. She is best known as the lead singer of Blondie, a punk band which experimented in many different genres of music. Although, Harry was over thirty when the band had the most success, her unique features and personality captured minds of the whole nation.
Debbie Harry was the one who managed to look cool, edgy, sexy and glamorous at the same time. Her daring outfits, loud make-up and platinum blonde hair soon made her a recognizable and highly accepted face in pop culture and also a sweetheart of New York punk scene.
Blondie was often spotted in denim, leather, high heels, over the knee boots, awesome T-shirts, chunky jewelry and daring make-up. She loved mixing lots of weird clothing items together on stage which added the edge to her performances and made them unique. Her style was something like tomboy meets a spark of glam.
Debbie Harry was Andy Warhol's favorite pop star and he made several portraits of her.
