Movie of the Week - Frenzy by Alfred Hitchcock
Frenzy is the 52nd movie directed and produced by our all time favorite director Alfred Hitchcock. It is based on a novel Goodbye Piccadilly, Farewell Leicester Square by Arthur La Bern and was adapted for the screen by Anthony Shaffer. The movie is set in London of 1970's and is about a serial killer who rapes and strangles his victims with necktie. As in many of Hitchcock's films audience is aware of the murderer's identity almost all along but society thinks it's Richard Blaney, an innocent man who is lost and confused. It's a classic Hitchcock theme: the adventures of an innocent man who is wrongly assumed to be guilty because of circumstantial evidence. We really enjoyed this movie and recommend it to everyone who loves suspense and good classic thrillers.
