Close-ups in Bergman Movies

Ingmar Bergman was a Swedish director, producer and writer. He's recognized as one of the best film artists of all times. I've been watching a lot of his movies lately and what fascinates me the most about them is the filming style, especially - extremely tight close-ups which allow you to see and feel exactly what the characters are feeling. I will share some of my favorite stills from Bergman's movies.

Michael Pitt

Michael Pitt is an American actor, known for his roles in Bernardo Bertolucci's ''Dreamers'' and  Jimmy Darmody in ''Boardwalk Empire''.Michael was born in West Orange,New Jersey.In 1999 he made his off-Broadway debut.Pitt appeared in TV show like ''Law & Order'',''54'' and ''The Hi-Life''.In 2004 he appeared in Asia Argento's ''The Heart is Deceitful Above All Things'' and in 2005 he played role of Kurt Cobain in Gus Van Sant's ''Last Days''.His main role is Matthew in ''Dreamers''.Later he worked with  Keira Knightley(Silk),Tim Roth and Naomi Wats (Funny Games) and Steve Buscemi(Delirious,Boardwalk Empire).In 2012 he became new face of Prada's men's clothes.

Anna Karenina (Directed By Joe Wright,starring Keira Knightley,Jude Law,Michelle Dockery,Cara Delevingne and etc) won Oscar for best costume design in 2013 (Designer Jacqueline Durran).Every costume is sophisticated and classy.They perfectly show the glamorous lifestyle of 50's Russia.
