The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, is the first in the bestselling Millennium trilogy by Swedish author Stieg Larsson and is directed by David Fincher (Fight Club, Seven, Panic Room, etc.). You should definitely watch this movie if you enjoy a good mystery. We haven't read the book, but people who have say that the director got most out of the novel and some have said that they prefer this one to the original Swedish version of the movie.
We adore Rooney Mara who was perfect as the pierced, tattooed, bisexual, twenty something hacker dealing with the whole world on her own, solving her own problems. She later teams up with journalist Mikael Blomkvist to solve the mystery of a girl from one messed up, crazy family.
Lisbeth Salander has become one of our current favorite characters. We love everything from her personality to her style.
We also loved the opening scene with Trent Reznor and Karen O's version of Led Zeppelin's "Immigrant Song".
