Gloria Vanderbilt is American artist,fashion designer and socialite.She was born in New York in 1924.She is a member of the prominent Vanderbilt family of New York,Dutch,Chilean and Irish descent amd mother of CNN's Anderson Cooper.Gloria launched the first ready-to-wear designer jeans,which were the best selling in America and then moved into scarves,accessories,leather goods,jewellery,sheets,shoes and fragrance in the late 1970's aptly named Fatale.In the period from 1982 to 2002 L'Oreal launched eight fragrances under the brand name Gloria Vanderbilt.Vanderbilt is the authoer of four memoirs and three novels,and is regular contributor of The New York Times,Vanity Fair and Elle.Gloria was romantically linked to Marlon Brando,Howard Huges and Frank Sinatra.
