De rouille et d'os / Rust and Bone
Rust and Bone is a 2012 movie by Jacques Audiard featuring Mathias Schoenaerts and one of our favorite actresses Marion Cotillard.
Ali is in charge of his 5-year-old son and barely makes ends meet. He moves to his sister's and tries to work things out. Stephanie is a killer whale trainer with a complicated personal life. These two meet at a club for the first time but bond later after Stephanie goes through a terrible, life changing accident and loses everything.
Ali is the one who brings Stephanie back to life and helps her with readapting to the world. He is the only one who treats her as a normal person and doesn't pity her.
I knew Marion Cotillard was one of the most talented actresses out there but I fell in love with her all over again after this movie. She does such a great job portraying Stephanie's pain and suffering.
The movie is really emotional. Both characters struggle through life but in the end things go better for both of them and they find what they were looking for. We recommend this movie to everyone who wants to see a great acting and an amazing story of two very different people finding the peace together.
