David Bowie is one of my favorite musicians and I would love him no matter what he looked like but oh man, his style makes me love him 100 times more.
TIME magazine named him as the one of 'All TIME 100 Fashion Icons', he's one of 5 musicians included in this list. Magazine described his style as 'rebellious androgyny', full of dualisms like 'masculine and feminine'. He's the one who invented character playing in music and he didn't just do it to sell albums or make a tour successful, it was just how it all worked for him.
He is one of the few musicians from UK who made glam rock peak in 70's. Bowie matched his visuality to his music and everything he created was completely unique, bringing music and fashion of his times to whole new level.
His famous alter-ego was Ziggy Stardust which is my absolute favorite music character.
Leading fashion magazines of the whole world have been making issues with famous models channeling their inner Ziggy Stardust.
David Bowie's style will always be a huge inspiration for the fashion world, another world he influenced forever. Come on, no one can ever outshine David Bowie.
